This guy at my office has this odd interest for paper masks. Every day I find him with a new one covering his face, behind some corner, sneaking around. I haven’t had the time to figure out how he produce them, but it seems like he has a very advanced mask-program in his computer. Every day he succeeds in frighten me, the methods are always sophisticated and different from day to day, the same goes for the masks.

It has got to a point where I really don’t know what to think of it anymore.

The fun and surprising part of it in the beginning has past deadline a long time ago, after that came a short period of just feeling benumbed, and then I felt surprised again for a while (that the guy never stopped). Now it’s more like a part of my everyday life that I have come to accept. (One day he was put on the sicklist and I had this awkward feeling that I´d forgotten something extremely important.)

Now,what really I meant to say is that I´m getting fond of  this part of my education as well, I’m becoming an expert on intranets and we make both papers and web so I do get my interactive share. I also meant to say that I miss my class and for those who aren´t coming for our school-finals, I’m happy to announce a suggestion(guess from who)I snatched up one late night. The 20th FIFA World Cup will be held in Brazil at some point in 2014, now that would be a so sweet class-reunion, wouldn’t it? J

 Be great and amazing!

We got Coffee!!!!

May 26th, 2008

The city girl moved to the country….but not for long, then i would go crazy(er) and start talking and switch the letter E to a Ä (thats how people talk in Värmland) and thats not the way i wanna go down ya´ll.

I`m the only one, i think, in Hyper Island history (what do i
know about Hyper Island History…anyway) that have taken the
internship in a smaller city…. oh well screw that. Im not making
money Im saving it for my kick ass summer hoping for a kind person to
give me a ticket to N.Y and fly to visit Ellinor. (A shopaholic like myself can easy save money in a town like this!)

Here in “Charlestown” its calm, kind of laid-back tempo. The agency that i have my internship at, are Clara advertising agency. It reminds me of Lowe Bríndfors but kind off smaller…. it is by the dock here in “Charlestown” and its an old boat magazine. I suggest that you not jump bungyjump from the sealing, because even if its high you`re chances of hitting the concrete floor are about 100% risk, and that would not be a pretty sight!

Here you get as much coffee you would like to drink, and it also comes in different flavored such as regular coffee in two sizes, Cappuccino, Chocolate, Choko-milk, Frappe, Ice-Chocolate, Ice te, Te Water, cold water and Sparkly Water….Sweeeet!

Currently we are waiting for the “coffee machine man” to help us fill up the milk powder. We also get free fruit, like Bananas, Oranges, Kiwis, Pears, and Apples, and on monday mornings we get a “fralla” (sandwich) from the bakery.

And now and then when someone’s birthday appears in the calendar, we get cake or when Swedish advertising association (Sveriges Reklamförbund) send us the start package to make our own, and i can show of my skills in garnishing cakes….cool, huh!?
We also always have nice weather, because if you didn’t already
know, “the sun always shines in Charlestown”

The only thing missing is that i wish we had tall boys about one head
taler then me, approximetely between187- 199 cm with washboards, but not the beefy kind just like
Christoffer but as i said with washboards….. ;)

Just a little note…..Tjipp, Tjipp its not how they say hi to each-other here in “Charles-town”!

Oh there`s the coffee machine man…..got to go!

Hello folks.
I hope you had a good weekend.

I think it’s quite difficult to write about what I am working on, since the blog is open and I’m not sure what I am allowed to give away. But I’m gonna be in Stockholm for that last week and I’m sure there’s gonna be time to present some of the work.

See you guys in June!

The White Room

May 26th, 2008

Hi. I’ve been spending alot of time in the room with infinite white space. Actually I’ve been mostly a few meters away, watching it from a monitor. We (brindfors, alphabetical order and acne) have been filming for three days in a huge garage on söder for a website for a big-swedish-car-brand-with-glossy-exterior. It’s finally done, and I’m back in the office and trying to make some sort of decision on whether to use orange or blue or thick stripes or small or round circles and so forth in the user interface. The chief-AD is Berghs-schooled, so he want’s to be all artsy and svårmodig. I, on the other hand, want a color-fiesta. You can’t use too many pigments. It’s just never enough. No, I’m kidding. It’s all good. I listen to my graphic superiors.

By the end of june two of my sites are going to see the light of day. I’ll tell you which ones then. It’s gonna be funny fun fun!

Extra bonus beneath!

Here is daniel from Alphabetical order looking out from the almighty White room. Tim took the picture, I was probably playing chess on my macbook.

Halftime

May 24th, 2008

Hey.

Halftime, 9 weeks done, 9 weeks to go. Helena is here visiting, my brother has been here, and mr Expressen Fredag himself; Marcus Björling. Sitting this friday after another busy week in our apartment, just eaten thai and drinking some nice good Pale ale. Yeah, american beer is good! As long as you dont drink the waterish stuff.

Compared to my last post everything is the otherway around, I got all my paychecks, I got a social security number, I got to present ideas to Rich Silverstein, I still work a lot, I’ve been drinking more beer than I thought. I love this!

We had a big partay, the 25th aniversary for the agency. One of the best parties I’ve been to ever. It was in the opera house with performances and stuff. And big signs outdoor that said: 25 years of serving capitalism.

I’m not going to be back for that hyper week, but as a teaser, you’ll still se me there in some kinda way (no, it’s not a site where I dance your names).

Yeah, oh, whatever, I’m drunk. //Lampa

I am litterally sitting with my arse on Grandpa.

The Dog

It has been 57 days, 56 nights, 342 dog walks, 1 f*cking tax declaration, 5 nightmares because of my taxes regarding 2007, 1 day with 30 degrees outdoors and sun, too many days below 5 degrees and cloudy sky, 11 screen cleaner wipes, 72 fitness classes, at least 90 showers, unbelievable amount pepsi max and coffee, over 200 walks up an down Kungsholmsgatan, 7 deliveries with vegetables from Årstiderna, 1 dance on the bar desk in high heels… and I am still sitting with my arse on Farfar. In other words I am still alive and kind of kicking, still smiling and still smelling kind of nice.

Oh! A blog entry!

May 17th, 2008

Time to report about Rasmus Knutssons life in London. And talk a bit about what he has manage to accomplished during this time.

So far he has managed to lose his jacket 2 times, luckily for him he has managed to get it back both of the times. (Third time is the charm ye.) Its not easy not to loose stuff when in London, especially when you have the habit of buying 3 liter drinks in fish bowls with strawberries 1 meter straws and lots of luuuve in it.

Rasmus have also managed to eat 27 chicken nuggets. But yesterday he only had 22 chicken wings from a guy named Shifa at Carolina (the local chicken nuggets place) It is not certain what they put in those wings but Rasmus sure think they are tasty.

He has also manage to get this really strange allergic reaction where his eyes turns all red and itchy. Sadly he thinks that his alergic to girls.

So who cant love a red eyed guy whit the skills of losing jackets, drinking large assed drinks at the pup and eat more nuggets then any human on earth?!?!?! R/GA sure can’t and thats probably why he is going to start working for them when his internship is ended.

Gratulations Rasmus! You are doing a wicked job! Keep it up!

Lots of luuuuve

Shook Ones pt 2

May 8th, 2008

Today, Goodby Silverstein & Partners turns 25. I have my black suit on, white shirt, a wine-red tie and shiny black shoes. I think I look good, fit for fight if you want. In a couple of hours the agency pulls out the big cannons - 900 people are going to the San Francisco Opera House for dinner and, hopefully, heavy drinking.

I still wonder where the supposed California weather is hiding. Shouldn’t it be warm as a desert in California? Yes, but not i San Francisco. Here the wind is blowing like on the ocean and the nights are freezing. But at least it’s sunny and I think the warmth is on it’s way. Me, Crille and some guys from the agency rented a car the other weekend and went down by Highway 1 for half an hour and stopped at Half Moon Beach and finally we felt some warmth.

This weekend though, we’re stuck at the office. Some Adobe stuff have come back from world wide testing and now we’re comping it up for client approval next week. But it’s ok, the last couple of weeks have been quite calm around here. So I guess I should be prepared for some weekend work…

Sincerely yours

/ Henrik

Voulez-vous podcaster avec Le Bureau (çe soir)?

May 8th, 2008

Salut Friends and Foes,

you may call me shallow and superficial, but what’s heard in the common loudspeakers says a lot of the values and the culture of a company. I’m happy to resign my predestined function as reformer of people’s poor taste; it’s already taken care of by the good people at Le Bureau. Nevertheless, the anglo-saxon dominans here is manifest, and being an ”interactive” art director nowadays, I have to come up with some cyber shit for you – so let’s all simultaneously go cheezy:
